Professor of Media literacy at Department of Korean Language Education and the Director of the Center for Media Literacy Research, Gyeongin National University of Education, South Korea. I received my Ph.D. in media education at the University of London Institute of Education(currently, UCL Institute of Education). My main research interests include children and young people's media and digital literacy practices in and out-of-school settings; teacher education and classroom practices for literacy and media literacy education; digital technology, media resources and textbooks for literacy and media literacy education, curriculum and policies for media and digital literacy; and digital parenting. I am the founder of the Center for Media Literacy Research at the Gyeongin National University of Education, working together with colleagues with multidisciplinary backgrounds for new approaches to media literacy in the age of digital transformation.
